Maxim Areshkau commented on JBIDE-3959:
---------------------------------------
Actually now difference ==> this issue has been linked as duplicated for JBIDE-3197.
But JBIDE-3197 hasn't been finished fully in M2. There is some unimplemented
features:
1)CA custom tags proposals, CA now is under refactoring, so custom tags will be added when
refactorting of CA will be finished.
2) Processing of taglibs which has been defined in jar files not working yet
see(JBIDE-4493). I think it's better register taglibs in model and use theme from
model instead of parsing separately.
3)custom tag can be defined in taglib definition throw class parameter, in this case
better to show class name in visual panel and implement openOn functionality to this
class.
Support for tag completion and better visual rendering when using
facelet components

Key: JBIDE-3959
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-3959
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Visual Page Editor core, Visual Page Editor Templates, XML
Structured Editor
Affects Versions: 3.0.0.GA
Reporter: Timothy Whitehead
Assignee: Maxim Areshkau
Fix For: 3.1.0.M3
Attachments: BugList.xhtml, CustomTaglibsNow.png, CustomTagsEarly.png,
sortedColumn.xhtml, val.taglib.xml, web.xml
I use facelet components heavily based on ideas from
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/library/j-facelets/
I find that they make it much easier to design facelet pages and maintain them. I would
have like to see them used by seam-gen but have been told that JBoss tools currently does
not do tag completion or good visual rendering.
It would be wonderful if there was a way to get tag completion and better visual
rendering for facelet components even if I had to create XSD files etc for each of my
facelet components.
I discussed it in the comments at
http://in.relation.to/Bloggers/ItsTimeForFaceletsToStartUsingXSD
and was asked to report it in JIRA.
