Features are only required for two reasons:
a) to provide an entry point for building (if no larger container already exists, like a
.all.feature or .sdk.feature)
b) to provide an entry point for installation (required only if a user would want to
install that functional group of plugins INDEPENDENT of some JBoss feature).
So, assuming that these new plugins are included in the sdk feature, we don't need a
new eclipse feature; assuming we don't need to provide the end user the choice to

Rob: as discussed on IRC, I've tweaked your plugin to use "." instead of
"bin" as the binary target in MANIFEST.MF and build.properties. Also, I've
added your new plugin to the feature.xml that contains it and the two map files in
devstudio tree.

1) The new plugin is basically a fork of org.eclipse.bpel.apache.ode.runtime, which means
we don't want org.eclipse.bpel.apache.ode.runtime anymore.
2) org.jboss.tools.bpel.as.integration was a plugin meant to provide a temporary
"publisher" for BPEL projects to our server adapter. This is not necessary
anymore as the project structure is suitable to be consumed by the generic JSTPublisher in
AS Tools. (basically, the bpel project isn't 'weird' anymore and is a
standard wtp project)

Rob, I tested the deployment of BPEL project against JBT build
JBossTools-Update-3.1.0.v200910201913N-H224-M4.zip at "http://download.jboss.org
/jbosstools/builds/nightly/3.1.0.M4/200910201913/' and a brand new Eclipse environment
with all required plugins mentioned in the page, but it deployed
nothing to JBossAS deploy folder, the steps as below:
1. create a bpel project and import bpel artifacts from riftsaw samples
2. create EAP5 server from JBoss Server View
3. add the created bpel project to server list and publish the server and then
"Explore" the module from popped-up menu, it open server deploy folder, but
can not find any archive of the project .
btw, I tried ESB project deployment, got the same result, did you configure something
wrong?

Just debug into the code and found that if I select the checkbox of "Deploy projects
as compressed archives" on the Deployment page of JBoss Server
editor, the deployment of bpel and esb project work, the result package is not a
compressed archive but a uncompressed folder, and if I don't select
the checkbox, nothing would be deployed without any error or warning message.
I read the JstPublisher.java,(if I guess correctly, you use this publisher for BPEL and
ESB project, right?) there is a piece of code :

Weird, if I don't select the "Deploy projects as compressed archivees"
checkbox on the Deployment page of JBoss Server editor, the Jboss Server even
doesn't work for deploying any WTP project, Brian, which jbt build did you tested
with?

Brian, I guess you tested the deployment of BPEL project with JBT build before
2009-10-19, just checked the change record of the JstPublisher.java in
plugin "org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.core", the JstPublisher.java was modified at
October 19, it's the change that break the JBoss AS deployment, in the
trunk, it's fixed by rob yesterday but M4 branches didn't.

Isn't JBossTools-Update-3.1.0.v200910210858N-H8-RC1.zip for JBT RC? I mean deployment
doesn't work for JBT M4 build, I am a little confused ;(
