Tom Fennelly commented on JBIDE-5696:
-------------------------------------
Right... 3 "columns"... left and right are scrollable... middle one is not
scrollable and just repaints the arrows/connections as left and right scroll.
To reiterate... there is only 1 model in each of the left and right... exactly as we have
it today... 1 source model (on left) and 1 target model on the right.
Put another way... what I think we want is exactly as we have it today... a single source
model and a single target model... the only difference with the new version that we are
trying to get to will be that the 2 models (source and target) will no longer be on the
same canvas (as they are today)... we want to split the source model off to the left and
the target model off to the right scrollable columns, with a single (unscrollable) column
in between the left and right as a separator.
Again... exactly as it is today, except split in two with a separator in between.
So.... taking the current flows we have today....
1. Java Binding: We want the input message model in the left column (scrollable) and we
want the target Java Object model in the right column (scrollable).
2. Apply Template: We want the source Java Object model in the left column (scrollable)
and the target output message model in the right column (scrollable).
Ability to scroll the templating node model

Key: JBIDE-5696
URL:

Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: smooks
Reporter: Tom Fennelly

Fix For: LATER

no-root-connection.jpg, smooks_3_col.png
For large templating target models, it will be very difficult for the user to map onto
the model without the ability to scroll the target model in the window while maintaining
the position of the source in the view window.
