Only map this value to the config source if the user modifies it from the default. Mapping it otherwise would not break anything, but would be making the config more verbose than it needs to be. I think showing this default value is a good idea for usability reasons i.e. the field could be left blank, as is is now. It references the maven repo via the "M2_REPO" variable. When this variable wasn't set, I was unable to set the source and target java classes for the source and target models - just came back with an error ... "unable to load class ''" (i.e. empty quoted string). The classes I was trying to set were in the actual project source (i.e. not in any of the linked in dependecies), so I'm not sure what the issue was. The Editor will not map from XML to Java. Here are the steps followed: 1. Select XML as the input type and add an XML example file as the input data for the model(I used order.xml from the SOA-P examples) 2. Click on Input Task and add a Task , and select Java Mapping. 3. In the Selected Task Details pane, you should be able to right click and add a Java Class. This would allow mapping from XML and the new Java Class selected.
