Provide capability to singup to openshift in openshift client
-------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-10067
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-10067
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 3.3.0.M4
Reporter: Andre Dietisheim
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
Fix For: 3.3.0.Beta1
We currently dont offer the possibility to signup to the OpenShift Express PaaS. We only offer a link to the signup page on OpenShift. The REST service now offers this capability and it's now up to us to include this into our client.
There are implementation details to discuss with the OpenShift Express team, since they currently offer this capability only with a shared secret (see Appcelerator and mails discussing this topic). As opensource project it's not possible for us to require a shared secret we have to hide from the public.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-10695) for all or at least key cartridges include some doc/context for users to know what they do
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen created JBIDE-10695:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: for all or at least key cartridges include some doc/context for users to know what they do
Key: JBIDE-10695
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-10695
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: openshift
Reporter: Max Rydahl Andersen
Assignee: Andre Dietisheim
Fix For: 3.3.0.Beta1
currently "embeddable catridges" just list all the base names for the cartridges and users gets no info on what they do.
i.e. postgresql-8.4 and mysql-5.1 could list something like:
"Enables mysql database for your OpenShift application.
The connection details are available as environment variables ($OPENSHIFT_DB_PASSWORD, ...) and for
JBoss AS application it is enabled via datasource named: MysqlDS."
(the values above is just from my memory - need to check the full names/values)
Would also be good if there was a stable url to get to docs for these since they do require a "masters desgree in openshift" to fully understand.
