Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-15630:
----------------------------------------
I believe providing such an easy way to report issue inside IDE would really be halpful for CAT contributors.
[~ldimaggio] [~mmalina] [~mlabuda] Do you think that this would be a worthy thing to provide as part of the CAT program?

> When Mylyn/Jira connector is installed, the "Report Error" dialog should provide the possiblity to directly push report as a Jira, just like Mylyn does for Eclipse.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3204) JBDS 8 workspace launcher is not shown in window list
by Fred Bricon (JIRA)
Fred Bricon reassigned JBDS-3204:

Assignee: Denis Golovin
[~dgolovin] : any idea?

> Key: JBDS-3204

> Affects Versions: 8.0.0.GA
> Reporter: Marek Novotny
> Assignee: Denis Golovin

> While launching JBDS 8.0.0 - if workspace launcher is in background of another focused window, I can't see it in windows list to switch to it. I need to manually minimize some windows to see it and use it.
> This is experienced in Fedora 20 - Gnome Shell environment. I can say that the official Luna install of eclipse behave the same so it is a regression to JBDS 7 or Eclipse Kepler.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3205) The new Liferay IDE plugin version 2.2.0 GA1 in not compatible with tern 0.6 but with 0.7
by Mickael Istria (JIRA)
Mickael Istria commented on JBDS-3205:
--------------------------------------
So far, we don't plan to update to Tern 0.7 just for sake of compatibility with Liferay IDE. It is possible that at some point, JBDS starts using a newer Tern, but not until this is not required for some improvements in JBDS itself.
A workaround may be that instead of using JBoss Developer Studio from installer, you download a plain Eclipse and install JBoss Developer Studio in it from update-site and try to "compose" you own installation to try to get JBDS able to work with Tern 0,7 instead of Tern 0.6 so it would be compatible with Liferay IDE. But there are most likely changes in Tern 0.7 that may make some pieces of JBDS fail...
So there is no good and supported way of having JBDS and latest Liferay IDE work together.
