I think it's safe to say that forward compatibility is not guaranteed, i.e. there is no guarantee that JBDS-IS 7.x will be compatible with JBDS 8.x. Some components might work, some might not. Any compatibility issues will need to be fixed in the JBDS-IS release that follows JBDS 8. I don't think it's appropriate to fix this in the JBDS-IS 7.x refresh, as it does not target JBDS 8 (which isn't even released yet).
[~pleacu], I'd simply set the target version to whatever JBTIS version it is that will be aligned with JBDS 8.

I was referring to the integration-stack/aggregate/ folder, not the integration-stack/ folder. Suspect that got updated the last time you used the promote.sh script (eg., with jbosstools-promote).

Hey [~nickboldt], I can't speak for Teiid, but, in general, I think it's completely appropriate to think one version of tools would work with multiple versions of Eclipse (3.x->4.x might be a bit of a stretch), especially if API rules are followed. There are many examples within the Eclipse project itself (EMF, M2E, eGit, etc.). Just my two cents.

Resolution: Partially Completed
I've tested this with two wildfly servers. It properly detects.
I've also tested this with two eap-6.2.0 servers. It properly detects.
It only fails when starting a wildfly and an eap6.2.
So the issue here seems to be an incompatability between the management communication protocols of wildfly and eap 6.2. Unfortuantely there's nothing I can do here, so long as the servers are using management poller. You always have the option of switching your server to use the web port poller for detection in this type of case.
There's nothing that can be done here as far as I can see, unfortunately.

Bear in mind that the reason that Server Tools went from 2.4 to 3.0 is big api changes and refactorings. Might also precipitate a similar version change in Teiid.
Also, I'm not sure that we should expect the same version of Teiid to work on both Kepler and Luna. Should we?
