> How it should work:
> - Basic cartridge - Advance section should be collapsed by default. After expanding Default source code checkbox should be checked. After unchecking it should be able to edit text.
> - Quickstart - If quickstart has source code then Default source code checkbox should be unchecked and in source code text should be URL of source code and this source code text should be uneditable. If quickstart does not have source code then advance section should be collapsed and Default source code checkbox should be checked.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-10456) Allow users to snapshot their application
by Andre Dietisheim (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-10456?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Andre Dietisheim edited comment on JBIDE-10456 at 5/5/14 7:36 AM:
------------------------------------------------------------------
This issue is mainly about the complete snapshot which is different from the "partial" snapshot used in binary deployment (JBIDE-10456).
Mail from Andy Goldstein on the 29th of April 2014 (subject: OpenShift Plugin Binary Deployment Workflow):
{quote}
There are 2 types of snapshots: full gear snapshots, and binary deployment snapshots. Full gear snapshots are created using 'rhc snapshot save' and they include additional things such as the contents of app-root/data. Binary deployment snapshots are created using 'rhc snapshot save --deployment'. This form creates a tarball suitable for binary deployments.
{quote}
Nevertheless we'll look into the possibility of creating/restoring a snapshot that's equivalent to the ones needed for binary deployment.

[~mlabuda] by default the advanced section should be hidden/collapsed, the "Advanced" button being labeled "Advanced >>". Once you hit "Advanced >>" the advanced section with the source code is shown/expanded. The advanced section should be shown/expanded if the quickstart you have chosen has some custom source code and should be hidden/collabsed otherwise.

> I think, we should in case of basic cartridge choice in first wizard page hide this area on second wizard page (if we want to let users use only provided quickstarts and no other templates) or let this field be editable (to let users input they own URL of quickstart / template - but there is a question, whether it is reasonable)

Not sure what you mean by "collapsed", bcs. it is collapsed but it can be expanded. The Advance button should not be active and it should be collapsed?

The intended behaviour is that the advanced section with the custom source code would only be visible by default if there's custom source code available. If there's none, the advanced section would be collapsed. Obviously this is not working as expected.
