[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3103) Provide more info during OpenShift application creation
by Andre Dietisheim (JIRA)
Andre Dietisheim commented on JBDS-3103:
----------------------------------------
It could have changed but until new there was no additional info available when creating applications as [~mlabuda] pointed out. This is caused by the very fact that we're talking to a REST endpoint which only gets back once the application was created. Thus this issue looks non-solvable to me, there simply is no more output to show.

> During the project setup on OpenShift from the create new application wizard, the user is not provided much information about what is happening. This process does take a little while, and users would be more comfortable if they could see into what is happening for a better idea of if the process is failing or still working. A "more info" dropdown could be used on the modal to show log file information during this process.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-17964) add keywords to JBoss Tools and Developer Studio marketplace entries for Fuse/Camel/Fabric
by Paul Leacu (JIRA)
Paul Leacu commented on JBIDE-17964:

The blurb must encompass all the IS tooling but still make it easy to conclude that
this is what I want. A combo of the blurb, keywords and solution link to the JBDSIS
installer should help.
JBoss Developer Studio Integration Stack is a collection of tooling plugins which support
the creation of user applications related to business process and rules development, data
virtualization, integration and Service-Oriented architectures.
categories/ keywords: Camel, ServiceMix, Fuse, Fabric8, Fabric, BPEL, BPMN2, jBPM, ESB,
Drools, Guvnor, Teiid, ModeShape, SwitchYard, SOA, Integration Stack

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-17964) add keywords to JBoss Tools and Developer Studio marketplace entries for Fuse/Camel/Fabric
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-17964:
---------------------------------------------
Things done:
Requested all marketplace entries to be moved to tools(a)jboss.org user so we can make these updates uniformly and not require knowing mine or [~nickboldt]'s passwords.
Things to do:
Add fuse, camel, and other keywords to the entries and have a link to explanation on how to install
Things to consider:
Add solutions entry for Integration stack that links to jbds (avoids adding yet another install scenario)

[JBoss JIRA] (JBTIS-83) JBoss ESB (aka SOA-P 5) Examples Need Updating/Migration
by Nick Boldt (JIRA)
Nick Boldt commented on JBTIS-83:
---------------------------------
1) OK
2) If your goal here is to work with JBDS 8, then the filename should match. If for JBDS 7.1, then you'll want the file in the 4.1.x branch of your sources and a 7.1 suffix would make sense.
3) https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-esb/raw/jbosstools-4.2.x/feature... < a file in your 4.2.x branch which will magically be updated every time you push a commit to that branch

> JBoss ESB (aka SOA-P 5) Examples Need Updating/Migration
> Steps as defined by Nick (thanks Nick!):
> a) the contents of the examples are in a former employee's SVN workspace
> and haven't been updated since a couple of years. They don't really work
> as well as they could.
> b) the examples are all mostly duplicated in the quickstarts folder that
> ships with SOA-P 5.3.1. See
> https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=951677 and
> https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBTIS-62
> Basically, we need to:
> * fix the quickstarts in SOA-P 6 so they ACTUALLY WORK as importable
> eclipse projects (merge in contents from duplicate examples in Denny's
> workspace). Could decide to backport to 5.3 if there's a 5.3.2 planned;
> if not, no great need.
> * copy the older examples that are not already in SOA-P 5.3 - the ones
> that are *exclusively* in Denny's workspace - into SOA-P 6 so they'll be
> available there.
> * update the BPEL Examples guide as needed
> * document the fact that these examples are no longer available as
> importable zipped example projects contributed by a plugin, but rather
> as already-unpacked projects nested within the SOA-P runtime zip

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-17960) "The specified JRE installation does not exist"
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-17960:

[~the_alchemist] I was unable to replicate the Starting... bug, because I was unable to achieve the strange/broken classpath entry in the launch config. So I am curious to see more details on how to reproduce this from scratch. Because the runtime dialog will not let me set an execution environment that doesn't contain a matching JRE. I even tried to select JavaSE-1.8 execution environment and then remove Java 1.8 from Eclipse. But then the linked JRE in launch config change to java 1.7 and the server still started normally.
So yes, I agree it's a bug for the server to keep starting when you receive the error. But I couldn't reproduce the broken classpath entry which led to it.
