> Would be nice if forge gets a runtime detector integration so it will automatically get installed.
> From Jim:
> "Using the Seam Forge 1.1.1 worked great at my lab 2 weeks ago, however using the Forge update forge runtime put the updated run time in the workspace and not in the main install of JBDS 5. Of course deleting the workspace, I do this always when setting up labs, meant the updated Forge Runtime was lost, is this really correct, the updated forge runtime only going into the Workspace and not the 'entire" JBDS install and updated for all new things moving forward"
> one caveat here is that the default runtime will still be the one chosen, but at least you dont have to setup the runtime.

> When the Forge console is brought up with Forge not running, it should have a 'Start Forge' hyperlink. When Forge is started for the first time, the user should be asked if he wants to open the 'Forge Getting Started' cheat sheet. He can opt for 'yes' or 'no' with a checkbox to remember the choice.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-17619) Console for remote server disappears when workspace is switched
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-17619:
-------------------------------------
Will try to replicate this for cr2. If I get a replication and solution early, though, its possible I can squeeze it into cr1.

> This happened to me today. I created a remote server (EAP 6.2, management, no runtime) and when I started it, I saw the console output for the server. But after some more tinkering with it, the console suddenly stopped appearing (I had the console view open). Not even IDE restart helped.
> The only thing that helped me here was to delete the server and create a new one.
> I think I have a way to reproduce this - it actually happens when you create the server, then switch to a new workspace, then back again.
