[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18262) exception on startup
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-18262:
---------------------------------------------
i think that is about as much as you can do. The other part would be to have a method that check if more than 3 dots and if more than tree cut everything from 4th dot to the end (i.e. 60.0.CR01.1 would become 60.0.0.CR01 when testing instead)
I don't know enough about the code using this to say for sure.[~fbricon] can you take a look ?
What I do wonder though is why does all the examples have to know if they can be fixed at startup ?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18238) Could not get monitored JVM error when Eclipse is started
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-18238:
---------------------------------------
But Rob, this happens on every JBDS start. So the question is what this mysteriously disappearing java process is.
For example right now I started JBDS, it has a PID of 29833. And the error mentions 29838 which is a higher number.
Another attempt: 29841 and 29846. So it seems that this must be a process that is briefly launched by JBDS itself.

> One interesting thing is that it complains about "14202 not found", but the Eclipse process is actually 14197 and is shown in the JMX Navigator view. So I'm not sure where is other number comes from.
