> Upstream question about JDK 7 support:

> Proposed *new* connectors for JBDS 8.0:
> * SpringSource's Quick Search - JBDS-2686 (affects JBDS installer/Central TP) :: *DROPPED FOR 7.1, TBD for 8.0*
> Connectors we could update:
> * Mylyn Builds Connector: Hudson/Jenkins org.eclipse.mylyn.hudson.feature 1.1.1.v20130917-0100
> * m2e-wro4j 1.0.2 connector

> Additionally (Target Platform):

> JBoss Tools Locus (for use with Teiid in JBT-IS/JBDS-IS only):

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18422) Include latest Tern & AngularJS 0.6.0.201409{23, 25}* into jbosstools/jbds TPs AND Early Access too
by Victor Rubezhny (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-18422?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Victor Rubezhny commented on JBIDE-18422:

I have no problems while using Tern.java 0.6.0.201409231610 with AngularJS-eclipse 0.6.0.201409251425 for the steps described in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmX2SLcZ1XQ&feature=youtu.be

> In JBIDE-18273, the JBT/JBDS target platforms were updated to include the latest Tern 0.6.0.201409041810-SNAPSHOT, but the version of AngularJS included in the Early Access site remained at 0.5.0.201408281218. Since these traditionally have been updated IN PARALLEL at the same time, it seems we need a new version of AngularJS in the EA site.
> However, since the latest AngularJS is now 0.6.0.201409231617, maybe we want to pull the latest Tern 0.6.0.201409231610 too, instead of the 2014/09/04 version?

[JBoss JIRA] (TOOLSDOC-493) Add info for GTK3 issues and workaround
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TOOLSDOC-493?page=com.atlassian.jira.plug... ]
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on TOOLSDOC-493:
----------------------------------------------
[~mmurray] talking with snjezana the message is:
"as to gtk3, I am not sure. gtk 2 is more stable than gtk 3. However, gtk 3 is faster and would be good to use and test it."
Unless QE comes back and says GTK3 is broken and not recommended I would say we should just document that if your system does use GTK3 and you are seeing rendering problems running "export SWT_GTK3=0" to disable GTK3 *might* help you but not a hard requirement.

> There are many serious issues related to GTK3 systems (Ubuntu, Fedora and other GNU/Linux distros). For example https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-16315 . It would be good to mention that for OS containing GTK3 this tweak is needed to avoid these issues:
> {code}
> export SWT_GTK3=0
> {code}

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18441) Clean up Web Resources in Project Explorer view
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-18441?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-18441:
---------------------------------------------
also web resources in root of project explorer is making it sound like it will show web resources....so why does it not have the index.html etc ?
sounds like we actually shuold make "web resources" more than just web.xml content ?
