by Len DiMaggio (JIRA)
Len DiMaggio created JBIDE-19003:
------------------------------------
Summary: Promote JBoss Tools CAT in Dialog Similar to Usage
Key: JBIDE-19003
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-19003
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: testing-tools
Affects Versions: 4.2.1.Final
Reporter: Len DiMaggio
Can we add a "join JBT Cat?" dialog for new users? The dialog should appear only once so that we don't annoy the users. Thx!

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-18995) Early Access features can be installed from JBoss Tools p2 repository even if 'Enable Early Access' is disabled in Central
by Mickael Istria (JIRA)
Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-18995:
----------------------------------------
I believe it's totally fine to remove them. They were initially there when I was still believing that we could easily deduce those files from the catalog and that the coupling between catalog and listing was strong, but this approach appears to be difficult to maintain for a relatively low added value.
So feel free to remove them.

> I noticed central has "(Early Access Installed)" sign in after I installed everything from JBos Tools stable p2 repository.
> !ea-installed.png!
> "Enable Early Access" checkbox is not set by default in Central Editor
> !ea-disabled.png!
> This means I bypassed warning dialog in this scenario.

Assignee: Nick Boldt (was: Mickael Istria)
Fix Version/s: 4.2.1.Final
(was: 4.2.2.Final)
Resolution: Done
PRs merged and updates to jbosstools-earlyaccess.properties pushed to dl.jb.org in updates/stable/luna and updates/development/luna.
[~mickael_istria] do we really need to include jbosstools-earlyaccess.properties in the jbosstools-discovery/jbosstools/org.jboss.tools.central.discovery.earlyaccess plugin? Not sure why it's included in there as well as being on dl.jb.org. Can we remove it?
Similarly, can we remove the devstudio version from jbdevstudio/com.jboss.jbds.central.discovery.earlyaccess/devstudio-earlyaccess.properties, and just keep this file in jbdevstudio-website ?

> The OpenShift Console view should contain controls for application start|stop|restart to match the functionality of the CLI. Currently, if you select Window->Show View->Others->OpenShift Express Console, then login in and select an application. The right-click menu doesn't have start|stop|restart so users have to either install the rhc client tools or ssh onto the OpenShift host gear.
