[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-20609) More accessible and visible Early Access content
by Mickael Istria (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-20609?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-20609:
----------------------------------------
I forgot to mention that this button also allows to reset the EA preference.
What concretely is confusing? If you're talking about the button, I can simply hide it instead of having it disabled.

OK. Then I would add a clear title "Installed EA units" or something for the first list in that page. And why there is no any EA sites available in Fred's video? I guess this is why "Disable EA" is disabled?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-20609) More accessible and visible Early Access content
by Mickael Istria (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-20609?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-20609:
----------------------------------------
The purpose of the page is to:
* View which EA units are installed (yes units, not connectors)
* View which EA sites are available while polling for software/updates
* "Disable early-access", which -in the last definition I got- is about removing the EA sites from the list of available sites.

{quote}What about calling the link "About Early Access"? What were you expecting to see when you clicked that link?{quote}
What the purpose of that page, what are you supposed/can do there? :-)
{quote}This certification label should be changed. It's not something on Central, but on discovery. It needs to be fixed in the catalog.
But to emphasize Early-Access, I can make the pop-up have it with yellow background, like it happens in the Software page. However, I'm afraid it would bring too much attention to the EA one vs the regular one. WDYT?{quote}
Not sure how we should do it but we definitely should highlight EA stuff somehow. With the link/hint to the info where you can read what EA is.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-20366) Easymport should offer available m2e connectors when importing Maven projects
by Mickael Istria (JIRA)

Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-20366:
----------------------------------------
[~ljelinko] Did you have the opportunity to try with the wfk quickstarts? I also notice that it doesn't always suggest connectors for Tycho projects, whereas it works for some other ones.

> For example standard maven import offers tycho connector installation for a user. Easymport should provide the same user comfort as maven import does.
