[JBoss JIRA] (JBTIS-388) Establish a separate JBDSIS target platform with no community-specific bits.
by Paul Leacu (JIRA)
Paul Leacu created JBTIS-388:
--------------------------------
Summary: Establish a separate JBDSIS target platform with no community-specific bits.
Key: JBTIS-388
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBTIS-388
Project: JBoss Tools Integration Stack
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: target-platform
Affects Versions: 4.2.1.Final-TP
Reporter: Paul Leacu
Assignee: Paul Leacu
Currently the JBDSIS target platform is a straight copy of the JBTIS TP. The JBTIS TP includes community.target which has dependent features which should not be picked up in the JBDSIS production target platform repository.
Solution is to have the target-platform pom create the jbdsis target platform (without merging the community.target file).

> Basically, the situation is the following:
> 1. *ToolsProject-Cordova-App.zip* - is a basic FH hybrid app (all the app does is saying Hello + 'username' from the input field )
> 2. To run this app one simply needs to unpack the archive and import it as a cordova project to the studio
> 3. The application will work with a *remote* server like a charm !hello_tom.png|thumbnail!
> 4. However, there is an option to use *local* server instead of *remote* one
> 5. *ToolsProject-Cloud-App.zip* - is a app for running local server via grunt task runner
> 6. In order to run local server one needs:
> - unpack the app
> - run *npm install .*
> - run *grunt serve*
> Need to find the way to made CordovaSim use this *local* server

oops :)
{quote}have the link to how to fix it rather than in the lower left away from the actual message ?{quote}
combine link with message as Denis suggests - sounds fine

> Imagine that one first clean workspace startup on opening vpe on systems where xulrunner / webkit can't run at the same time we will ask if he prefers to have good JSF support (use xulrunner) or HTML5 support (disable xulrunner)
> if he says okey - we set a flag somewhere to not start xulrunner.
> user restart - user is happy.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-19151) Allow importing/git clone any feedhenry project
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-19151:
---------------------------------------------
Since we are not going to add any custom support beyond cordova and there might be others coming that is relevant to just clone, I think we should let it be up to the user what he want's to clone/get from FeedHenry.
For me its about ease-of-use of just getting the project into an editor without too much fuzz.

> in JBIDE-19137 we are saying *only* cordova project gets imported but I think that is cutting our self short.
> I would think it would be great being able to at least git clone the project and just import as existing project for now - or at least provide the git info so users can do it manually.
> If we get easymport included in master we can have it automatically configure the project later on.

I think this looks overall good but can't we have the error in the editor actually have the link to how to fix it rather than in the lower left away from the actual message ?
