> If the "Service implementation" is selected from the drop-down list, it resets the items under "Configuration".
> Other ways of selecting implementation don't cause this, also doesn't happen when a different web service type is selected.

> This task JIRA relates to JIRA: JBDS-3376
> Some of the packages in the CR1 build still have "beta1" version numbers. The reason is that packages that did not change between the beta1 and CR1 builds were intentionally not rebuilt as part of the CR1 build.
> All packages will be rebuilt in the GA build to ensure that even packages that have not changed include the correct ("GA") version strings.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3280) Screencasts: Java EE

Mustafa Musaji commented on JBDS-3280:

+1
There are 4 of these "screen cast" JIRA requests for JBDS 9.0.0 [1]. For GSS these are very helpful and if at all possible I'd like these to be done in time for release. This will be huge help for GSS engineers to get to grips with the new features quickly without having to hold any delta training for some of these new and interesting features.
I agree these are not blockers for release... just adding my desire to get this if at all possible.
[1] issuetype in ("Feature Request") AND project = "Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)" AND "Target Release" = 9.0.0.GA AND "Epic Link" = "Screencasts and HowTo guides"

> As a new Eclipse+Java EE developer, I need educational screencasts, around 5 minutes each that educate me on a specific Java EE development capabilities of JBDS.
> Use cases include:
> - JPA - how to add one, content-assist, relationships
> - database reverse engineering via DTP vs Forge
> - JAX-RS: creation of new endpoints, content-assist, tester - including the GET/POST/PUT/DELETE with JSON payloads
> - JAX-WS: creation of new endpoints, content-assist, tester
> - CDI special features
> - Servlets
> - JSF
> - deployment to localhost EAP
> - deployment to remove EAP

> A series of short (5 minutes), educational videos to illustrate the new capabilities of JBDS associated with OpenShift.
> Including:
> - OpenShift's new web UI
> - OpenShift Explorer in the context of v3
> - perhaps an overview of Kubernetes, depends on how "pods" become visible to our end-user
> - an overview of Docker, depends on how 'containers" become visible to our end-user
> and all the typical start, stop, add, delete/remove, view logs, set env vars, etc.
