Without putting them up there, we would have to wait for stuff to hit the CSP & get GG links first, which is not practical for content that hasn't been tested yet. We could use internal hosting on www.qa (as we do for installer jars) but that would limit CAT involvement. [ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-3355?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ] Nick Boldt commented on JBDS-3355: ---------------------------------- Decision today in a call w/ Max is to do this: *8.0.2* - damage is already done, no need to fix the past (beyond what I've already done on devstudio.redhat.com as a workaround *8.1.0* and *9.0.0* - push all zips/jars to CSP/GG; don't bother pushing zips to devstudio.redhat.com; instead we can link from index.html/products.yaml pages to the GG links (and use those for *.jboss.org too) *9.0.x* - for future "update site only" releases, we WILL push zips to CSP/GG/*jboss.org, in addition to publishing an updated update site on devstudio.redhat.com. So, TL;DR, in future "update site only" will really mean "*publish everything but the installers, including source zip*".
