-----------------------------------------------------------------
I could reproduce it with JBoss Tools:
* Get Mars M6
* Start: it asks for workspace
* Restart: it asks for workspace
* Install JBoss Tools Abrigged from snapshot build ( http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/nightly/mars/ )
* Restart: it doesn't ask for workspace, and selected $HOME/workspace as default.
It might be an issue with some p2 touchpoint? /cc [~nickboldt] [~fbricon]

> When you install JBDS 9.0.0.Alpha2 nightly (including Eclipse Mars M6) and then you start it, it won't ask you for workspace and simply use the default. This applies to OS X.
> This is probably caused by the changes in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=431116 .

I tried jboss-devstudio-9.0.0.Alpha1-v20150216-1042-B11-installer-eap.jar.
Tested on Windows 8 and Mac.
But I needed to install "JBoss Tools Java Standard Tools AngularJS" from update site https://devstudio.redhat.com/updates/9.0.0/jboss-devstudio-9.0.0.Alpha1-u...
(because of JBDS-3413)
Everything works just fine.
