> Over the years we have done various hacks to izpack 3 and 4 panels to make it behave well/as we wanted.
> izpack 5 is rumored to have many of these fixes properly integrated thus it make sense to try and investigate if we should upgrade to izpack 5.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3213) Installer hangs at P2 director when command prompt is disabled

> Trying to install JBDS 8.0.0.GA in a customer locked down environment, on a windows machine which has the group policy for locking out the cmd prompt enabled causes the installer to hang at the P2 Director stage. Running with -DTRACE=TRUE shows that it gets to running java -jar ...JBDS.....jar but is trying to use some mechanism which on windows invokes the command prompt, and we end up with, in the console, the message
> The command prompt has been disabled by your administrator.
> Press any key to continue . . .
> but this is hidden when not running in -DTRACE=TRUE mode, and even in trace mode, you can't hit a key as the installer has focus and not the console

Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: openshift

Reporter: Jeff Cantrill
Some templates allow you to define parameters that are generated for the user. We should update the new app flow to provide feedback to the user what those generated values are so they have them.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-19956) Add template name to the filter possibilities of a template
by Jeff Cantrill (JIRA)

Summary: Add template name to the filter possibilities of a template

Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 4.3.0.Beta1
Reporter: Jeff Cantrill
Allow a user to filter by text that is in the name besides just the tags. Currently, if i have untagged templates that have a common string in the name, there is no way to see just those templates with that common name.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-19954) Connecting to a server configured for basic auth with Oauth scheme provides no indication

Summary: Connecting to a server configured for basic auth with Oauth scheme provides no indication
Key: JBIDE-19954
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-19954
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: openshift
Affects Versions: 4.3.0.Beta1
Reporter: Jeff Cantrill
Stand-up an openshift server configured to basic auth
Using JBT try to create a connection and retrieve an oauth token
Tooling performs some action but provides no indication that the attempt fails.
It previously worked until we had to alter the 'retrieve' browser to utilize external. This may be resolved if we can re-introduce the original browser dialog
