[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3489) Publishing existing eclipse project to OpenShift
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-3489:
-------------------------------------------
basically just like oc new-app or from source in the web app does it.
project has to be in an accessible git repo and we can setup the source config for the user, using a pre-defined set of images/json-templates.
Optionally we could offer to set up the webhook for github repos - but otherwise you can trigger the build manually.

Marián Labuda commented on JBDS-3489:
-------------------------------------
How do you imagine to have this accomplished? "oc new-app" create a new application from template on server or from a provided json. How could be an existing eclipse web project deployed to an existing OpenShift v3 project?
Should be pushed source code of a project to some git repo with webhook and build config would be created (in tooling, user would specify details in some user-friendly way through wizard/dialog?) for a new application and pushed to OpenShift project? Or do you have any particular solution in mind?

I suggest keeping this JIRA around open for a bit longer if you don't mind. If I still don't see it, we can close it then.

> This looks like an upstream bug :-\ Let me know if I should report this.
> Note that this probably only happens on Mac - Jirka Peterka tried this for me on Linux and it worked fine.
> Also, one indicator of the problem is that when you right-click a deployed module in the Servers view, you can't see the shortcut there next to Remove.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-20324) Unhandled event loop exception when trying to delete a deployment on a server
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-20324:
---------------------------------------
[~rob.stryker], on Jiri's machine, it worked just as expected - he could simply delete the deployment with the Delete key on his keyboard and there was no exception.
But I got bad news - it works for me now :( Even in the same workspace and the same server - now when I right-click the module, I can see the Del key next to the Remove item - it wasn't there before. And I can press Del to remove the module. And no exception is thrown. So I don't know what happened yesterday.

> This looks like an upstream bug :-\ Let me know if I should report this.
> Note that this probably only happens on Mac - Jirka Peterka tried this for me on Linux and it worked fine.
> Also, one indicator of the problem is that when you right-click a deployed module in the Servers view, you can't see the shortcut there next to Remove.

by Fred Bricon (JIRA)
Fred Bricon commented on JBIDE-19949:
-------------------------------------
I'm not familiar with BuildConfigs. at all. I just wrote what I groked from today's meeting. So indeed, it might be better to process all buildconfigs
