[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21831) Change host to localhost when cdk is selected in new server dialog
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-21831:
-------------------------------------
The hostname field is not used for CDK. We don't use it when polling, we don't use it for modules (cdk doesnt support modules), we don't use it for anything.
This is a non-issue.

> When you open the new server dialog, select OpenShift 2, it will set host to openshift.redhat.com. When you then select cdk, it will complain that it only works on localhost. So the suggestion is to make it work the same way OpenShift adapters work and ensure that host is always changed to localhost when you select the cdk adapter.

> For reference, this is the JIRA where similar thing was discussed for OpenShift: JBIDE-20114

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21671) Add support for PatternFly components in Angular palette
by Alexey Kazakov (JIRA)
Alexey Kazakov commented on JBIDE-21671:
----------------------------------------
We track all used wizard IDs (if users agreed to send it to us). When a widget from Palette is dropped in the editor then a Wizard is opened and we collect/track its ID. So we know how often the particular wizard/widget is used.

> We could consider integrate support for PatternFly UI components to the HTML editor palette. Those can come in 2 ways: either with HTML+JS+CSS package, or as AngularJS directives.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21866) Liberalize some astools API for re-use
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
Rob Stryker created JBIDE-21866:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Liberalize some astools API for re-use
Key: JBIDE-21866
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-21866
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Sub-task
Components: server
Affects Versions: 4.3.1.CR1
Reporter: Rob Stryker
In order to allow openshift to use (but also override pieces of) our incremental deployment, we must liberalize a few methods from private to protected, and add a few superclasses for extending to avoid code duplication.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21727) add OpenShift server adapter to downloadable WTP server adapters
by Nick Boldt (JIRA)
Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-21727:
------------------------------------
My changes here were simply to make it easier to discover the OpenShift v3 server adapter via the WTP discovery process.
If we need to do more w/ wizards, that's a whole other issue... perhaps for a second JIRA? This one just asks that we "add OpenShift server adapter to downloadable WTP server adapters", which we've done.

> We have JBoss server adapters available in Eclise new Server wizard; would be great if we could put OpenShift in there too.
> Anything preventing us from doing so ?
> Is there a workflow from New server that helps users to create openshift connection etc. ?
