by Len DiMaggio (JIRA)
Len DiMaggio created JBDS-3678:
----------------------------------
Summary: Installer - On startup, username field is not automatically selected
Key: JBDS-3678
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-3678
Project: Developer Studio (JBoss Developer Studio)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: installer
Affects Versions: 9.1.0.GA
Reporter: Len DiMaggio
Priority: Minor
Small usability point - when a user starts up the installer, the username field is not automatically selected. If the user simply starts typing, the characters types are ignored. The user must manually select the username field.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-21719) Move Properties view to its previous position

Slava, can you look at why new views open up in lower right ?
They should be added to the middle lower part IMO to be most useful by default.

> I noticed that the Properties view is located at the right bottom (see the screenshot jbds-9.1.0.CR1.png). The width of the view is not enough if we want to use it in SwitchYard / Camel / BPMN2 editor. Please move it to the position as it was in JBDS 8.1.0.GA (jbds-8.1.0.GA.png).

A solution might be to change places of OpenShift Explorer and Properties views.
Or, move OpenShift Explorer to the bottom left, which is too narrow though.
Anyway they must be in different parts of the window.

Seems that all the perspectives I checked (Debug, Resource, Docker Tooling, JavaEE, JavaScript) all put the Properties view in the large bottom panel, but the JBoss perspective puts it in the bottom right corner as in the screenshot above. Surely our perspective should mimic what everyone else is doing?
I'm guessing this is something we need to fix in jbosstools-base/common/plugins/org.jboss.tools.common.ui/plugin.xml ?
