[JBoss JIRA] (ERT-195) Generification of IJavaCompletionProposalComputer has type of computeContextInformation wrong [EBZ#493810]
by Friendly Jira Robot (JIRA)
Friendly Jira Robot created ERT-195:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Generification of IJavaCompletionProposalComputer has type of computeContextInformation wrong [EBZ#493810]
Key: ERT-195
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ERT-195
Project: Eclipse Release Train
Issue Type: Task
Components: JSDT
Reporter: Friendly Jira Robot
Fix For: Neon (4.6) RC2
The return type of IJavaCompletionProposalComputer.computeContextInformation was recently changed from "List" to "List<ICompletionProposal>", it should have been "List<IContextInformation>".
At the moment all the implementations of IJavaCompletionProposalComputer.computeContextInformation in the code base have return type still as "List" with unchecked conversions. That is why there is no compile error within JSDT on its own.
Note that IJavaCompletionProposalComputer was originally copied from JDT.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBTIS-654) JBDSIS stand-alone installer
by Max Rydahl Andersen (JIRA)
Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBTIS-654:
-------------------------------------------
[~lhein] about runtime, we've had JBDS+EAP and JBDS for years. None of that have tied us do a specific version of the runtime - except of course for the installer.
Just because the installer is available with the runtime does not make the tooling dependent on it. We still work with EAP 4,5,6 and now 7 even though we bundle EAP 6.

> Establish a stand-alone installer for JBDSIS that will contain JBDS and will enable easier installation of JBDSIS components - specifically Fuse Tooling. This Jira is specifically related to the JBDSIS installer. Other usability issues will be handled in other Jira.
> Installation scenario:
> {code}
> 1. If you don't already have one installed, you will need to download and install Oracle or Open JDK 8. (make sure you have Java 1.8 installed)
> 2. Download the JBDSIS installer jar. i.e. wget https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/snapshots/updates/integration-stack/9.0....
> 3. Double-click the installer file to run it, or open a terminal and type `java -jar /path/to/installer-*.jar`
> 4. Select 'JBoss Fuse Development' from the 'Select Additional Features to Install' installer window.
> 5. Accept/ respond 'Yes' and restart
> 6. Select Window > Perspective > Open Perspective > Fuse Integration
> {code}
> A prototype installer has already been created - see:

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-22371) Allow users easily manage environment variables of OpenShift application
by Viacheslav Kabanovich (JIRA)

Viacheslav Kabanovich commented on JBIDE-22371:

[~mlabuda], can it be ok to have in explorer on service node context menu action 'Deployment Config Settings' that would open wizard with the same page as "Deployment Configuration && Scalability" in "New OpenShift Application" wizard?

> At the moment to add a new environment variable/edit an existing one. Environment variables are located at deployment configuration. At the moment it requires to open Properties view, select a deployment config, open context menu Edit... and find in json where the spot with env. vars is located and add more key:value pair or edit existing ones. It would be nice if we would have some dialog/wizard to easily manage variables.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-22363) Connection wizard: reenable opening embedded browser for oauth token on MacOS
by Fred Bricon (JIRA)
Fred Bricon updated JBIDE-22363:

> Connection wizard: reenable opening embedded browser for oauth token on MacOS

> With JBIDE-20464, retrieving the OAuth token on OSX was done in an external browser. It seems the original bug can't be reproduced in Neon (can't select the token when opening the Connection wizard from the OpenShift explorer). So we should revert the platform specific hack, to go back to a more consistent behavior across OSes

Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-3700:
-------------------------------------------
The "fix" for this was actually just me going to https://tiny-man.rhcloud.com/ login and refresh.
That should *not* be necessary, thus please look after it happens again and we'll need to find someone to own and be able to fix this (besides me).
