At the moment all the implementations of IJavaCompletionProposalComputer.computeContextInformation in the code base have return type still as "List" with unchecked conversions. None of that have tied us do a specific version of the runtime - except of course for the installer. Just because the installer is available with the runtime does not make the tooling dependent on it. Environment variables are located at deployment configuration. It seems the original bug can't be reproduced in Neon (can't select the token when opening the Connection wizard from the OpenShift explorer).
