[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-20753) Text flickering when selecting server types in New Server wizard
by Martin Malina (JIRA)

Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-20753:
---------------------------------------
[~snjeza], if anything, your machine is too fast so you don't notice it. But if it's actually happening, it's still a regression from before - at one point I had two Eclipse versions installed and the older didn't do this and the newer did. (This still didn't happen in JBT 4.3.0.Beta2.)
See this screencast that I just made, you can see it clearly there:

> When you open the New Server wizard and select a server type, There will be some elements rendered for a fraction of a second. It's Server Runtime Environment and a dropdown menu - it will disappear again, but it's not nice to see something quickly appear and disappear again. You can keep selecting server types and it will keep happening. All of this is on the first page of the dialog.
> I checked and this did not happen in Beta2.

---------------------------------------
I have created a screencast on Windows 7 - http://screencast.com/t/A5fgIhPbfI
It is the same on Fedora 23.
I have also tried to debug and got the same result as Rob described.
It is possible that there is a performance issue. What computer do you use?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-3929) Tweaks to content.xml / artifacts.xml lost (regression)
by Nick Boldt (JIRA)

Nick Boldt edited comment on JBDS-3929 at 6/14/16 11:16 AM:
------------------------------------------------------------
Oops, looks like I forgot to push this change into master branch, and so when I rebuilt the mojo, I built from the old pre-fix sources instead of the fixed sources.
Updated in master to 0.25.1-SNAPSHOT with the fix, rebuilt, and also rebuilt in 4.4.0.x branch.
Will now have to rebuild JBT and JBDS aggregates. :(

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-22602) Check if org.eclipse.core.runtime.compatibility.auth is needed
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina created JBIDE-22602:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Check if org.eclipse.core.runtime.compatibility.auth is needed
Key: JBIDE-22602
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-22602
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Sub-task
Components: target-platform
Affects Versions: 4.4.0.Final
Reporter: Martin Malina
We removed org.eclipse.core.runtime.compatibility in JBIDE-21382 . But I noticed that we still have org.eclipse.core.runtime.compatibility.auth in the TP (and devstudio installation).
Do we need it? Shouldn't it be removed also?

> As a Java or Java EE developer, who wishes to test my JAX-RS endpoints as well as edit various JSON files, I need an editor that formats the nested curly braces, helps me to insure that I am not missing (nor have extra) curly braces, missing quotes, helps me to know when to use square brackets, etc. Ideally, the Eclipse Outline view would also work if I am editing a .json file.
> Ideally, we would support both a full JSON editor as well as working within the Web Services Tester.
