> Build id of devstudio installers contains old timestamp. E.g. latest build 2016-07-05_17-10-13-B5634 contains timestamp 20160613-2041 although the build which is producing bits is 20160705-5634.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-13671) Replace build timestamp in qualifier by last-mod-timestamp from git
by Nick Boldt (JIRA)
Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-13671:
------------------------------------
[~mickael_istria] So you're saying you want the JBT aggregates and devstudio artifacts to always use the CURRENT TIME instead of the last-mod time in github? That makes sense; the alternative would be to introduce "touch" commits into the jbosstools-build-sites and jbdevstudio-product repos to force those timestamps up when we actually want them increased.
Since jbosstools-build-sites contains no artifacts (only update sites), using jgit timestamps does seem confusing.
However, jbdevstudio-product contains artifacts (plugins, features) and products (installer, update site), I think we might need to use a hybrid approach there. I would think only the update site pom (which includes the .product file) and installer pom should be using a raw timestamp instead of jgit.
