> There is a CDK docker registry located at hub.openshift.rhel-cdk.10.1.2.2.xip.io. From command line user has to tag image at first before pushing it to remote registry to match registry URL, e.g. to push image msa/helloworld from local repository to CDK docker registry I have to tag image as follows hub.openshift.rhel-cdk.10.1.2.2.xip.io/msa/helloworld and then I can just push it "docker push hub.openshift.rhel-cdk.10.1.2.2.xip.io/msa/helloworld". Users used to command line tooling and not aware of "auto-tag" feature of OpenShift tooling can bump into issues. When I am trying to push already tagged image (as I would be expecting from command line) I get an error with following stack trace
> {code}Failed to push the selected Docker image into OpenShift registry
> org.eclipse.linuxtools.docker.core.DockerException: Conflict: Tag latest is already set to image 2e0ddd37ace80cf13a9d3c664445430972fb3440661eb5d8efb7cc994f11bbdb, if you want to replace it, please use -f option

> I think it would be better at first try to check, whether an image does not already have specific tag and if it does, then we should involve confirmation dialog to use force push. If there is no such tagged image, push would behave as it is. Alternatively after checking of image existence we could just simply ignore it, because it is being tagged on same tag.

> WildFly 10.1 has been released.
> We need to make sure it works properly.
> My initial test doesn't show any problems. The server can be added both manually and using runtime detection which properly recognizes the version as 10.1.
> AFAICS, the only cosmetic change we'll need is to change the adapter name from 10.0 to 10.x. But please take a look and maybe you'll see there's more.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-23123) tooling blocks docker cert files even after cdk is stopped on Windows

Yes, I'm actively working on pushing a more recent version of spotify/docker-client to be used. In order to do this I first need to update a large part of the dependencies underneath it. At the time we wanted docker-client 3.6.4, but once the underlying stack is updated we could choose 4.x since underlying dependencies have remained the same.
As a workaround, we could consider backporting the fix mentioned into the version of docker-client we ship with the tooling, if that is in fact the problem, and if an updated version isn't in place (and needed) for Neon.2

> When you stop cdk in Eclipse, it does "vagrant halt" but it seems something still holds a lock on the docker cert files, because I can't do "vagrant destroy" from CLI.
> Steps:
> 1. Start cdk in Eclipse
> 2. Open Docker Explorer and expand to see the containers
> 3. Stop cdk in Eclipse
> 4. run "vagrant destroy" in CLI
> This will fail:
> {code}
> $ vagrant destroy
> default: Are you sure you want to destroy the 'default' VM? [y/N] y
> ==> default: Destroying VM and associated drives...

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-22580) Deploy Docker Image wizard: Cannot push already tagged image to docker registry
by Marián Labuda (JIRA)
Marián Labuda updated JBIDE-22580:
----------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 4.4.1.Final
(was: 4.4.2.AM1)
> Deploy Docker Image wizard: Cannot push already tagged image to docker registry

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-23123) tooling blocks docker cert files even after cdk is stopped on Windows
by Roland Grunberg (JIRA)
Roland Grunberg edited comment on JBIDE-23123 at 9/6/16 11:09 AM:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I'm actively working on pushing a more recent version of spotify/docker-client to be used. In order to do this I first need to update a large part of the dependencies underneath it. At the time we wanted docker-client 3.6.4, but once the underlying stack is updated we could choose 4.x since underlying dependencies have remained the same.
As a workaround, we could consider backporting the fix mentioned into the version of docker-client we ship with the tooling, if that is in fact the problem.

> When I open a freemarker file (.ftl) in devstudio (project/package explorer), new tab with editor is opened, but there is missing a cursor and I cannot actually set the cursor in calling setCursorPosition and thus, opening of content assistant throws a timeoutexception. It looks like editor is not focused.

> It simply cannot remove /rhel-ose/.vagrant/machines/default/virtualbox/docker which contains the certificates for docker connection.
> Note that without step 2. this works, so it may actually be docker tooling who's at fault here.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-23131) Integration tests: move openshift integration tests to jbosstools/openshift repo
by Marián Labuda (JIRA)
Marián Labuda commented on JBIDE-23131:
---------------------------------------
Stuff to take into account:
- integration tests are much more complicated, on its own run ~2 hours full suite (1-1,5 Smoke suite) on CDK instance. On remote instance it would be much longer and if user does not use nested desktop environment, user could get blocked for the period. Thus there should be a specific profile which would trigger integration tests (it should not be run by default with mvn clean verify, also tests requires many arguments for execution, like server credentials, could be some default settings somewhere and have a proper documentation for it)
- integration tests uses stuff from pluginCustomization, it should be copied too. Also common stuff from parent poms in integration tests repo
- QE should have push rights too
- differentiate between unit tests and integration tests (integration tests run with different runner, should not run together, more like integration tests could follow unit tests in whole work flow to avoid running like Unit - Integration - Unit - Unit - Integration - Unit etc.)
- PRs to integration tests should always have QE ack
