[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-22773) Openshift server adapter can't start with eap64-basic-s2i template on Windows: can't copy MANIFEST.MF reported
by Jeff MAURY (JIRA)
Jeff MAURY commented on JBIDE-22773:
------------------------------------
The results of my investigations is that it does not happen if your workspace is located under your HOME folder (C:\Users\xxxx) but only if you created a work folder elsewhere. I created a work folder under C: (C:\work) and my workspace is a sub folder of this one. It appears that in that case, NTFS permissions are not the same between C:\Users\xxxx and C:\work causing rsync to fail when it is run against C:\work.
Please note that it is not only restricted to the git repo because WTP uses an internal folder during the sync which is located under the workspace folder

[~knakayam] are you sure that your OpenShift server allows you to create medium/large gear(ed) applications? I suspect that it isn't, thus downgrading your request to what's possible: a small gear.
Do you see anything in the Eclipse logs about this? can you create medium gears by other means (web-ui, cmd-line)?
Note: there's no effort underway for the OpenShift 2 tooling any more since all work is done on the OpenShift 3 tooling, which superseeds OpenShift 2. We only fix critical bugs.
