[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-23785) WF11 server adapter needed
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
Rob Stryker created JBIDE-23785:
-----------------------------------
Summary: WF11 server adapter needed
Key: JBIDE-23785
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-23785
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: server
Affects Versions: 4.5.0.AM1
Reporter: Rob Stryker
WF 11 server adapter needed. THis may require a new set of jars (or may not). Current test of wf11 nightly build seems to work with mgmt, no significant changes, but that can break.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-17698) Server view could show all deployed modules, obtained from the server
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-17698:
-------------------------------------
> Pavol Srna pointed out to me that when he deletes a project in workspace while it's deployed on a running AS7, it disappears from the server view and he can't undeploy it from Eclipse.
So I just tested this.
1) Create Dynamic Web Project
2) Create WF 10.1 server
3) Deploy the web app
4) Verify web app is published
5) Delete web app from workspace (and filesystem)
6) Note that the module is gone from server view
7) Note that the console does not indicate an unpublish
AND THEN....
8) Click the 'publish' button
9) Verify that the console now indicates the module has been undeployed
So yeah, it's not 100% automatic, but it seems to me that the module can still be undeployed... and this is an optional enhancement, not a bug fix.

> I understand that this is somewhat expected, but we have a suggestion: Could the server view get its deployed modules from the server via the management api and use that to show the modules? Similar to what the web console of AS7/WildFly/EAP6 shows.
