The main problem seems to be that the Minishift Home field in server adapter is not propagated into launch config's Environment tab - that one will still show ~/.minishift. So it's actually very easy to reproduce this problem: 1. Open server editor for a cdk adapter 2. Change Minishift Home to a custom value, save 3. Then I stopped cdk, deleted ~/.minishift and then did a cdk setup in a custom folder. I changed the server adapter to use this new cdk home. But then I looked at the launch config and it still showed MINISHIFT_HOME = ~/.minishift. So I think that's the main problem.
