[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-24280) Support converted types in JolokiaMBeanServerConnection
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-24280?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-24280:
-------------------------------------
This has the potential to be a pretty huge endeavor. A lot of jmx returned types are classes that are not available in eclipse or on the classpath. This would basically require temporarily loading jars on the classpath to generate these objects. I'm not sure to what extent this is a good idea.
Since this is blocking other issues we really should discuss how important this is for you?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-24231) Unable to accept T&C when downloading EAP 7 in Eclipse
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-24231?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugi... ]
Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-24231:
-------------------------------------
I've got a PR up that removes the unnecessary widgets (accepting the t&c, the country combo, etc).
https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-base/pull/576
I also added a 'retry' button so once you complete the in-browser work, you can simply click 'retry' and move forward. This way, users don't need to press 'back' at all, which was kinda confusing to be honest.
I've reset your user's t&c, so not sure if you want to try the PR before I commit?

> I few days ago when I tried to download EAP 7 in JBoss Tools 4.4.0.AM2 while testing it, I was faced with this message instead of the T&C in the wizard:
> It is no longer possible to accept terms and conditions in the wizard. Please, use following link instead!
> I used my redhat.com account (mmalina1 at redhat.com). What's also curious is that I used this account many times in the past, so it's strange that I was required to accept the T&C in the first place.
> I was able to log in inside that window (where normally just the text would be displayed) and then got this message:
> {code}
> You Entered All Necessary Information
> Thank you for filling all necessary information. Now you can go back to Eclipse and retry your download of /jboss-eap-7.0.0.Beta.zip.
> {code}
> When I went back and forth, I was then able to download the runtime successfully. So I'm afraid I won't be able to reproduce this unless somebody resets my account.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-24188) CDKv3 terminal output in IDE is ugly when using hyperv

Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-24188:

[~odockal] Are you able to get a screencast on this? I'm not exactly sure what you're describing.

> While starting/stopping CDKv3 server adapter, you can observe flashing window (coming from hyperV) in terminal tab. The output looks bit ugly, there is pretty much space. When starting/stoping minishift from windows command prompt, you can see such blue flashing/blinking window, too. When I tried cygwin terminal, this did not happen. I am not sure if we can do anything about it, it seems like upstream/system issue.
