> In order to avoid presenting JBDS-4175 to users, a workaround is to not show the Software/Updates tab when installation comes from RPM. We'll use the same sort of identification as in JBDS-4014, a suffix of "|Devstudio" indicating that the install is from RPM, eg., this screengrab from Google Analytics:

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-24322) Openshift publisher keeps getting more nested
by Mattia Mascia (JIRA)
Mattia Mascia commented on JBIDE-24322:
---------------------------------------
I confirm that installing the binary cwRsync on windows environment, the rsync behaviour worked as expected.
Is it a requirement for Windows or is good enough as workaround?

> During a POC, one of the requirements is that developers want to deploy/test their local changes inside a pod before to commit.
> We noticed that during the publishing or local change.
>
> The Publish function, always creates a nested deploy directory inside an existing one.
> For instance inside /opt/eap/standalone/deployments/
> 1st Publish:
> deploy/server.war/
> 2nd Publish:
> deploy/deploy/server.war/
> 3nd Publish:
> deploy/deploy/deploy/server.war/
>
> So with 3 publish, you end up with 3 deployed same application.
> This happen also inside the local workspaces for the synchronisation:
> .metadata/.plugins/org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.core/poc-dev@jboss-eap70-openshift
> The EAP7 images is the jboss-eap70-openshift:latest.
>
> Do you have any idea why this happen?

[~aurelien.pupier], thanks for adding me in, installer is good place to do that. It requres use name though. I'll check if i can get original user name when running with lifted privileges.

> One must run devstudio with admin rights to be able to start CDKv3 server adapter with hyperV vm-provider. Also, setup-cdk command must be run in cli before server adapter is started in IDE (admin rights are not required).
> I am not sure, if those issues are bugs or more features requests/enhancements, but we should definitely do something about it.

[~rhopp] I don't think that [CDK-107] is the same issue as in this case dev suite installer has already installed and started successfully minishift
I don't think either the [minishift issue 356| https://github.com/minishift/minishift/issues/356] is the same as 356 is already fixed and if i understand well the fixed version it is already included in Dev Suite installer

Hi Team,
Today we noticed the following warning:
*OpenShiftBinaryCapability process exited:
WARNING: rsync command not found in path. Download cwRsync for Windows and add it to your PATH.
Ignoring the following flags because they only apply to rsync: --exclude*
Should the missing command, impact the rsync functionality in Windows environment ?
An additional difference with Windows environment, the plugin always creates a deploy directory to put the exploded war.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-4321) Unable to start Devstudio without -clean after install of any stuff from RH Central

Lukáš Valach commented on JBDS-4321:

You probably started eclipse with -clean, I see that every session has -clean in command line arguments.
{code}
!SESSION <DATE>

Command-line arguments: -os linux -ws gtk -arch x86_64 -consolelog -console -debug -data /tmp/wksp-<DATE>-clean

There are logs which I got on Fedora and on RHEL7 after update of all rh-eclipse46 packages from RHSCL RC 1.0:
