> A server adapter will publish local files to a pod in OpenShift (via rsync). Our wizard and server adapter editors allows to set the adapter to fullfill this task. The wizard and the editor do a poor job explaining the purpose of those settings though:
> The wizard generically states that it does "file synchronization" but fails to tell "from" where to "where"
> !image-2017-03-03-11-43-41-941.png!
> The editor is even poorer in usability. It wont say anything about file synchronization and even mixes settings for the source and destination:
> !image-2017-03-03-11-44-46-410.png!
> "Source Path" should be right below the "Eclipse Project" since it's providing further details for it. "Pod Deployment Path" should be right below "Resource" (år "Service" in older verisions of this editor" since it provides the path on pods that are identified by "Resource".
> Ideally we'd also add labels "From" and "To" (or similar means to better identify the settings)

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-24522) Incremental deployment for WF11/EAP7.1 - only redeploy if necessary
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina closed JBIDE-24522.
---------------------------------
What I requested in this JIRA now works - if I simply change a html file, it will get incrementally deployed and the deployment on the server will not get fully redeployed. So all good from me.
Verified in devstudio-11.0.0.AM1-v20170620-0539-B270-installer-standalone.jar.
I will report more jiras if/as I find more issues.

> As discussed with Rob, JBIDE-23784 added support for incremental deployment over management API for WildFly 11 / EAP 7.1. But it does not actually deploy incrementally. It will still redeploy the whole module on the server. The improvement that was done in that JIRA is that now the whole project is not copied over to the server every time there is a change - now only the changes are being sent. But the whole module is still redeployed.
> So I think it's worth looking into if it's possible to improve this further so that the module is not always redeployed on the server.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-20588) JBoss Modules classpath: show suggested modules without using Ctrl+space
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina closed JBIDE-20588.
---------------------------------
This is really weird. I almost reopened this JIRA because at first it didn't work for me - content assist didn't do anything. But then it started to work. And I cannot make it not work again. And I had Radim try this and it works for him as well. So I have no choice but to close this JIRA.
I'd like to point out that you didn't fix the main point of this JIRA - to make it work without using content assist. But I'm not gonna force you. At least now it continuously refines the suggestions as you keep typing. Once you use content assist.
Verified in devstudio-11.0.0.AM1-v20170620-0539-B270-installer-standalone.jar .

> This is a follow-up of JBIDE-19799.
> In Eclipse > preferences > Server > Runtime Environments > Default Classpath Entries
> you can add new classpath entries. For AS7 and newer servers, the main mechanism is using JBoss Modules.
> So when you choose your server type and then Add -> JBoss Module, in the dialog, there is a field called Module ID. In JBIDE-19799, a possibility was added to show suggestions based on what you start typing - it's using content assist.
> Would it be possible to start suggesting right away, i.e. without using Ctrl+space? Content Assist is not really something one would expect in a dialog, so it may be a bit counter-intuitive.
