[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-19965) Add profiles (or enhance "rse" profile) to allow for org.eclipse.remote as remote implementation
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
Rob Stryker resolved JBIDE-19965.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
rse is still alive, and o.e.remote doesn't seem to be catchign on.
> Add profiles (or enhance "rse" profile) to allow for org.eclipse.remote as remote implementation
> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: JBIDE-19965
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-19965
> Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
> Issue Type: Enhancement
> Components: server
> Affects Versions: 4.3.0.Alpha2
> Reporter: Rob Stryker
> Priority: Optional
> Fix For: LATER
>
>
> As org.eclipse.remote matures, it's worthwhile to investigate whether we should allow (experimentally) users to make use of org.eclipse.remote as their implementation of choice over RSE.
> I suspect this should be done as a new set of profiles, but this would complicate the new streamlined profile-selection page in teh new server wizard, which has been outfitted with radio buttons to remove confusion and make all choices obvious. The presence of / support for two competing remote frameworks would definitely confuse the user in some ways, and so this should be approached delicately and with feedback from multiple parties.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-24291) Improve initial loading of JMX Connection tree
by Rob Stryker (JIRA)
Rob Stryker updated JBIDE-24291:
--------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 4.5.0.AM2
(was: 4.5.0.AM1)
> Improve initial loading of JMX Connection tree
> ----------------------------------------------

> Fix For: 4.5.0.AM2
>
>
> JMX Navigator is taking quite a long time to load the first level of elements when the connection is targeting a remote server with quite a high latency (such open.paas.redhat.com which is taking around 450ms for each request for me)
> It would be nice to improve the lazy-loading to be able to display the first level of the tree without loading every MBeans and doing one query per MBean Names registered on the server.
> For instance on a FIS project, it is 112 MBean Names * 450ms = 50.4s!

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-4371) Lot of errors printed when using uninstaller if the Studio has been started
by Denis Golovin (JIRA)
Denis Golovin commented on JBDS-4371:
-------------------------------------
Detecting locked files inside DevSuite installation folder could me done by this simple script:
{code}(move C:\DevelopmentSuite C:\DevelopmentSuite${random} >nul 2>nul) && (move C:\DevelopmentSuite${random} C:\DevelopmentSuite >nul ) && echo nolock || echo lock
{code}
Windows will prevent renaming the folder if at leas one file inside the folder is locked and output 'lock'.
