---------------------------------------------------------------
I Agree with you [~hardy.ferentschik], it is on tooling side and is somehow connected with windows encoding, I am just not sure here how.
After testing new devstudio and cdk nightly [build|http://cdk-builds.usersys.redhat.com/builds/nightly/01-Aug-2017/], the output is showing some more wrongly encoded characters and it is happening on fedora 26, see
!Console_output.png|thumbnail!
I believe, it is new subsctiption-manager feature, that, runnig in cli, shows rotating '/' char, it is supposed to be showing progress of subscription. I have just learnt that this was caused with using interactive mode in subscription-manager, Could it be switched off? wdyt [~hardy.ferentschik]?

If you ask me, I vote for switching this feature off. But It might be on CDK side - meaning, if you started using newer version of rhel, it came out of there, right? wdyt [~hardy.ferentschik]?

[JBoss JIRA] (ERT-522) Increase height of "New Server" wizard to provide more places for the tree and avoid too much scroll [EBZ#520505]
by Friendly Jira Robot (JIRA)
Friendly Jira Robot created ERT-522:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Increase height of "New Server" wizard to provide more places for the tree and avoid too much scroll [EBZ#520505]
Key: ERT-522
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ERT-522
Project: Eclipse Release Train
Issue Type: Task
Components: WTP ServerTools
Reporter: Friendly Jira Robot
Priority: Trivial
Created attachment 269668
Scroll with category collapsed
When trying to add a new server, the place for the tree is quite small and there is scrollbar even only with categories which can become very long scrollbar when a category is expanded.
it would be nice to provide more place for the tree. I think that the easiest would be to increase the height of the wizard

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-24447) Look for minishift configuration in MINISHIFT_HOME
by Martin Malina (JIRA)
Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-24447:
---------------------------------------
[~odockal] am I reading this correctly, that you had $MINISHIFT_HOME set to /home/odockal/minishift_home which also included cdk 3 config, but the automatically created server was set to /home/odockal/Programs/cdk? That certainly looks like a bug to me. So I suggest reopening this JIRA.
Feel free to create new JIRAs for the other things - I think they are not related to this JIRA.

> One can use the MINISHIFT_HOME variable to save minishift configuration somewhere else than in ~/.minishift
> It would be nice if runtime detection looked there if the variable is configured.

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-4493) Virtualization detection never terminates on powershell version <= 2
by Jan Richter (JIRA)
Jan Richter created JBDS-4493:
---------------------------------
Summary: Virtualization detection never terminates on powershell version <= 2
Key: JBDS-4493
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBDS-4493
Project: Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio (devstudio)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: platform-installer
Affects Versions: 11.0.0.AM2
Reporter: Jan Richter
Assignee: Denis Golovin
Follow up on the mail thread about detection not finishing on win 7.
Namely methods from the Platform class that call powershell commands:
- isVirtualizationEnabled
- getHypervisorVersion
- isHypervisorEnabled
For some reason when called instead of erroring (since these commands dont work on older powershell) they don't terminate and block the detection.
