[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-25588) CDK server adapter timeouts during starting with JDK9
by Ondrej Dockal (JIRA)
Ondrej Dockal created JBIDE-25588:
-------------------------------------
Summary: CDK server adapter timeouts during starting with JDK9
Key: JBIDE-25588
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE-25588
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: cdk
Affects Versions: 4.5.2.Final
Environment: Fedora 26
java-9-openjdk-9.0.1.11-4.fc26.x86_64
Reporter: Ondrej Dockal
Assignee: Rob Stryker
Priority: Blocker
CDK server adapter remains in state starting after CDK is started properly (in console you can see all steps passed without problem), one can connect to openshift via browser. Also, SSL untrusted certificate was accepted. There is running job: Starting Container Developer Environment 3.2+ Preparing launch delegate...: Launching delegate...
Adapter will just timeout eventually.

> In the past, we catched an issue which was caused by improperly performed update (some packages weren't updated). I would like to automate test which will:
> * install last stable DevStudio RPM
> * update to last snapshot/staged version
> * install all from RH Central

[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-4658) JDK9 Certification - batch
by Ondrej Dockal (JIRA)
Ondrej Dockal edited comment on JBDS-4658 at 1/16/18 6:51 AM:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Verified on Fedora 26 - All test have passed. Tried with jdk9 defined via toolchain plugin and run via maven and run via IDE with java-9 as Java runtime env.
Requirements: Testing projects need to be updated to use newer version of JRE system library, otherwise some tests fail on unexpected problems.
