[JBoss JIRA] (JBDS-4826) Installer do not extract EXE file
by Ondrej Dockal (Jira)
[ https://issues.redhat.com/browse/JBDS-4826?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin... ]
Ondrej Dockal commented on JBDS-4826:
-------------------------------------
[~electrokiss] I tried to install codereadystudio-12.15.0.GA-installer-standalone.jar using openjdk-13+33 on windows 10 x64 (Enterprise). installation went fine. After installation I opened install folder and found codeready studio executable under installFolder/studio/ folder. I run it and studio started normally. So I could not reproduce the error you had.
Can you please try update Java to newer update?

[JBoss JIRA] (JBIDE-27354) Consider including JavaEE/Jakarta 8/9 artifacts into JB TP
by Ondrej Dockal (Jira)
[ https://issues.redhat.com/browse/JBIDE-27354?page=com.atlassian.jira.plug... ]
Ondrej Dockal edited comment on JBIDE-27354 at 7/1/20 11:19 AM:
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have in mind more specific usage, I need 4 bundles to be added into TP: or more procisely, its jakarta versions.
* javax.ws.rs -> jakarta.ws.rs,
* javax.xml.soap -> jakarta.xml.soap
* javax.xml.ws -> jakarta.xml.ws
* javax.xml.bind -> jakarta.xml.bind (we got this one covered)
but I would also like to open a discussion, whether we need more bundles available, or maybe even deprecating some others, etc. So the name of the Jira could be confusing.

> We currently support only older java ee components in Target Platform and so we got only limited resources available in one place for ie. tests development, which is TP, and so we would have to add such packages by ourselves everywhere. So it would be nice to consider adding newer Jakarta EE (formerly Java EE) content into out TP.
