Could you name the new view components which were affected by the changes in the logging
mechanism .Or the log just became more informative?

Use FrameworkLog as basis for new logging mechanism. It can log status objects and
multi-status objects.
Each app server should get its own log file
Modify the view contributor to make use of this new logging mechanism.
Remove all old obsolete logging classes.
