I think you're right. I remember I came across something similar in the past with CDK
2.x. My installation script would install a given cdk build to a directory based on the
date. So added a symlink "latest-install" for easier usage. But this didn't
work in Eclipse, because the dialog would always follow the symlink instead of treating it
like a regular directory.
I will give it a go now.
CDK Server adapter editor: using symlink for "Minishift
Location" stores the referenced binary, not the symlink
