Seam vaildator doesn't validate EL with arguments properly. Help -> Project Examples -> Seam -> DVD Store Example 2. Download that example. 3. Open /dvdstore/WebContent/browse.xhtml 4. See screenshot. There is an warning: "product can not be resolved" for #{searchSelections[product]} (Line 90). But: - product is not property of searchSelection. It's independent context variable. And context variable validation is disabled in my preferences. - product comes from parent <h:dataTable value="#{searchResults}" var="product" /> and should be resolved. If we change #{searchSelections[product]} to #{product} then product will be resolved.
