I've noticed another point:
if you try to select a range of text in visual part by mouse, i.e. 5 letters to the left
from cursor position -- selection will be wrong: the beginning of the text will be
selected till the letter under last mouse click.
Selecting text using Left Arrow + Shift in VPE doesn't work

2. Create new empty jsp page
3. Type some text as new page text
4. Try to select part of the text in VPE using Left Arrow + Shift longer than 1
character
FAILURE: Not possible to select text longer than 1 character
