Reopening to clarify.
This checkbox looks very much out of place to me.
Why is this on the runtime page and not when I actually select the configuration ? i.e.
have an "Add configuration" which allows you to clone a configuration.
And I didn't get what your "changes not persisted" talk were about ? Was
this just about the launch configuration ?

When we are developing, sometimes we need various JBoss AS profiles.
It would be nice if we could create a new JBoss AS profile (to preserve default or
production original) when create a new server
.
JBDS/JBoss Tools may ask for base profile (for be based on) and then make a
"copy" (only conf, deploy and lib folders) to the new specified profile name.
