Denis Maliarevich commented on JBIDE-2795:
------------------------------------------
So now there are two solutions:
1) Save/Load setting to some file through import/export wizards which is the standard
eclipse behaviour.
2) Create additional file inside the project and update/load it each time user starts
eclipse.
Both of them have advantages and disadvantages:
In 1) user has full control of import/export operations and knows what to do. But user
should perform these operations by himself each time.
In 2) everything is done automatically, but the user will have additional file in his
project folder. He might have no any idea about what this file is for and what is going on
with templates. In addition for example during production building of the project user
have to exclude it from the building resources manually.
Also saving the setting to ".somePropertiesFile" file or to ".setting"
folder will demand additional actions from user to save/load them. It may be the same
routine as import/export wizards.
So both variants are possible. But I need an advice.
Me and Maxim think that import/export wizards would be the better solution.
Allow export and import of the stored tags wich should be used to
render unknown tag in VPE
