It happened to me that I was running JBDS with java 8 and I could not connect to the
Eclipse Java process in the JMX view - it kept saying Disconnected. But actually once I
tried to connect, the Properties view was not empty anymore and started showing the
categories from JVM monitor. But no content was displayed - it said this JVM is not
supported and showed an FAQ link that didn't work:

So the problem to fix here is the local link. Unfortunately I have no way to reproduce the
issue of no connection - after JBDS restart, it works.

Much of the UI from
http://www.jvmmonitor.org/doc/index.html#Monitoring_JVM_on_remote_host is missing and
disabled. We must discover where it's gone, why it's disabled, and whether it can
be re-activated.
