I've been unable to replicate this, but I know it used to be a problem I experienced.
I'm trying pretty much everything I can and tracing through but, no idea ;)

If I open a JBDS workspace and I'm directly in the JBoss AS perspective
with the console view opened and then, I start one of the servers, the
console shows nothing as you can see from the screenshot.
There's a bug somewhere there.
