There was a bug previously in JIRA which confirmed that, unless the debug ui plugin has been loaded, the console view will NOT show server process output. So in that case, even a reference to the console will do nothing. But I agree. I think Denny should look over the JMS test cases to see how they can verify a message was sent. Unfortunately, that would (most likely) require compiling against specific AS versions >=[ I think this is something we need to figure out an overarching solution to. There is a wealth of stuff that can be done if you browse the JBoss AS / projects test suite...
