JBoss instability and performance issues after deploying seam
projects
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-4178
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-4178
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Bug
Components: JBossAS
Affects Versions: 3.0.0.CR2
Environment:
« Hide
Linux Centos 5, X86_64
java version "1.6.0_11"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_11-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 11.0-b16, mixed mode)
Reporter: nmatrix nmatrix
Attachments: log.zip
I'm puzzled as to why JBoss has to take 8+ minutes just to start up and or restart?
Even when my console log displays:
[Server] JBoss (MX MicroKernel) [4.3.0.GA_CP03 (build: SVNTag=JBPAPP_4_3_0_GA_CP03
date=200810241616)] Started in 14s:105ms
I can still see the JBoss application progress bar still running telling me it's
still starting. Is this a known issue or is it just me? I'm running JBDS on Centos 5,
with over 8 gigs of ram. The thing about this is that it seems to happen after I deploy a
Seam application. Anyone else experiencing extremely slow startup times with JBoss AS?
Also are there any quick start tutorials on "hardening" or optimizing JBoss AS
as it seems very fragile initially in some respects.
also used to JMX and time out pollers to attempt to improve performance, full server logs
included below.
