Max Rydahl Andersen updated JBIDE-3732:
---------------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 3.1.0
Assignee: John Graham
For you John, I assume this is for 3.1 ;)
It should be possible to use XSD to describe the XML used as source
or target
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBIDE-3732
URL:
https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/JBIDE-3732
Project: Tools (JBoss Tools)
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: smooks
Affects Versions: 3.0.0.CR2
Environment: I'm using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 with eclipse 3.4.1 for
JEE Developers together with JBoss Tools 3.0.0.CR2
Reporter: Thomas Qvarnström
Assignee: John Graham
Fix For: 3.1.0
It should be possible to use XSD to describe the expected in/out XML that are to act as
either source or target. Currently the smooks tools requires you to have sample XML, which
isn't very logical.
It's good that it's not mandatory to use XSD and that you can use a example XML
to create your smooks configuration. However for most business users it's more logical
to have XSD or even WSDL (if the description of the message is directly inside the WSDL)
to describe how messages used by the smooks transformation can look like.
