Second, I found the deploy directory: <workspace>/.metadata/.plugin/org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.core/JBoss_5.1_Runtime_Serverxxxxxxxxxxxx, and so can list the deploy location of the mvel jar even without seeing an error (or not) in the console. The edit to the dependent-module above does not change the deploy location of the file. I also tried deploy-path="/". Third, I forced the deploy location of the mvel jar to zzzzz.ear/lib and still the exception occurs; meaning, even if the edit above is effective, it won't resolve this problem. I forced the deploy location by shutting down the server, moving the file and restarting the server.
