For what it's worth, I got a "one or more ports have an invalid value" on my
first try at creating a server profile using CR1 on Windows Vista with Eclipse Galileo SR1
with JBoss 5.1. After reading the comments here, I checked and discovered that the
default JRE for the new server profile was an old version, 1.4. It was easy to change. I
should have paid more attention to the server profile creation options!

When trying to create a new JBoss AS server, JBDS complains with:
The server cannot be saved for the following reasons: One or more ports have an invalid
value. This may adversely affect the tooling's ability to interact with the server.
I've never seen this error before, and I'm not sure what the port values should
be. Currently, the Automatically detect check boxes are checked
