I think that will work - I have one REST endpoint that is basic auth secured and one that
is not - and with OpenShift you get https for free. That was why I noticed it, it
confused me - prompting for user/password on the "unsecured" endpoint.

In JBDS6 Beta1, the Web Services Tester turns on Basic Auth on a GET request, even when
it is not needed and not requested.
